Fake Bank Alerts: Lady Narrates How She Was Duped Of N482K After Receing Fake Alert A Facebook user identified as Sandra Joe, has taken to the social networking platform to warn innocent Nigerians about how they welcome customers into their shops, adding that not everyone who walk into the shop wants to buy something, as some are looking for what to steal.  The young lady took to Rant HQ on Facebook to narrate how three well-dressed men came to dupe her in her store of a whooping N482,500.  According to her, these men walked into her shop and pretended that they wanted to buy 10 Infinix Hot6X. However, each of the phones cost N48,050 so they decided to make a transfer because they did not have cash.  The transaction was successful on their phone but when the sales rep went to the bank to withdraw the cash, the money did not reflect in her account, and she is left with paying the huge sum of money.  She shared a screenshot of the transaction and wrote: “Adm

‘Constructive citizens’ engagement aiding good governance in South-West’ The 2018 review of citizens’ engagement with the government in the South-West states has shown an impressive result particularly in aiding good governance and ensuring service delivery to the people in the region. At the 2018 South-West Partners’ Reflection Session held in Ibadan, Oyo State, the representatives of the Civil Society Groups, private sector and the informal sector said constructive engagement with the executive and legislative arm of government yielded great results this year. The reflections session was facilitated by the Partnership to Engage, Reform and Learn, (PERL), a programme of the United Kingdom’s Department for International Development (DFID). The partners used the avenue to do thorough review of their engagement in 2018 in the areas of inclusion of citizens in government’s policy process, planning and budget in achieving service delivery and good governance.

Nigerian airports record 10.9m passengers, 163,646 aircraft movements in 9 months – FAAN The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) says a total of 10.9 million passengers passed through Nigerian airports in 163,646 aircraft movements between January and September. A statistics obtained by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) from FAAN in Abuja on Thursday, revealed that the figure was an increase of 1.7 million passengers from 9.2 million passengers recorded during the same period in 2017, representing 15.5 per cent increase. There was also an increase of 23,094 from the 140,552 aircraft movement recorded during the same period in 2017, representing 16.4 per cent increase.
