In the video, a long line of members can be seen waiting their turn. Each member kneels when they get to the pastor and he places his foot on their head while someone pours water on the foot. As the pastor washes his foot, the water drips over the members and they use it in washing themselves. Sometimes, the pastor also washes his face and lets the water wash over his members. Social media users are appalled and are calling out fake pastors for “bastardizing Christianity”. Exclusion from primary: Court strikes out Shittu’s case against APC

A Federal High Court, Ibadan on Friday struck out a suit filed by the Minister of Communication, Adebayo Shittu, against the All Progressives Congress (APC) over exclusion of his name for his inability to produce evidence of participating in the one-year mandatory National Youths Service Corps (NYSC) scheme. Justice P.I. Ajoku struck out the suit for Shittu’s failure to file it within the time stipulated by law. The APC had excluded his name from among aspirants due to his non-participation in the NYSC scheme after his graduation from the University of Ife. Gov. David Umahi of Ebonyi on Friday suspended the Auditor-General of the state, Mr Innocent Nwida from office over the latest communal crisis in the state. The governor also suspended other elected and appointed office holders from Igbeagu Community in the Izzi Local Government Area of the state because of the crisis. On April 9, Umahi suspended the chairmen of Ikwo and Abakaliki Local Government Councils and all elected and appointed office holders from Enyibichiri in Ikwo and Enyigba in Abakaliki over a communal clash. Dr Kenneth Ugbala, Commissioner for Border, Peace and Internal Security, announced the suspension of the officials while addressing newsmen after the governor’s meeting with people from Igbeagu Community, involved in a boundary dispute with Ukele community in Cross River. 4-year-old boy electrocuted in Niger

A four-year-old boy, Arafat Jibrin has been electrocuted in Niger state when he strayed into an electric transformer house. The incident occurred on Thursday night at the Senior Quarters of the Federal Low-Cost Housing Estate in Maikunkele, a suburb of Minna. The Deceased was said to have been in a search of his sister who had gone to fetch water for the House when he strayed into the transformer house where he was electrocuted. An eyewitness said that it was a passerby who raised alarm when he noticed unusual activity in the transformer house but before the victim could be rescued, he had been burnt beyond recognition. The remains of the boy were taken from the transformer house and buried according to Islamic rite on Thursday night. UPDATED: National Assembly Releases Details Of Its 2018 Budget

The National Assembly has released the details of its budget for the 2018 fiscal year. The Office of the Senate President disclosed the details of the budget in a tweet on Friday. It explained that the disclosure was in line with the commitment of the leadership of the 8th Assembly to accountability and transparency. The details were released following pressure from human rights activists and civil society groups in the country. Of the N139.5 billion earmarked for the National Assembly, the Senate got a total of N35.58 billion while the House of Representatives had N57.4 billion. The National Assembly Office got N15.38 billion just as the legislative aides and the NASS Service Commission had N10.20 billion and N2.73 billion respectively. Similarly, the National Assembly Legislative Institute got N4.37 billion while N1.14 billion was earmarked for service-wide-vote of the legislature. The Yobe Chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC), has advised Sen. Ali Ndume (Borno-APC), to respect supremacy of the party and avoid placing personal interest above collective interest. North Korean leader Kim Jong Un’s deputy, Choe Ryong Hae, was elected on Thursday as chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, as North Korea is officially known. According to a report Friday by the news agency KCNA, Choe replaces Kim Yong Nam, 91, who was long considered the diplomatic face of North Korea, but whose retirement was expected due to his advanced age. Over 3,500 Children Recruited By Insurgents, Says UN

UNICEF has raised concern over the number of children recruited and killed by non-state armed groups in Nigeria’s north-east region. The United Nations children’s agency said this in a statement on Friday, ahead of the fifth anniversary of the Chibok abduction. “More than 3,500 children, most of whom were aged 13 to 17, were recruited by non-state armed groups between 2013 and 2017 and have been used in the ongoing armed conflict in north-east Nigeria,” it said. The agency affirmed that the numbers were only those that have been verified, while the true figures were likely to be higher. It disclosed that in addition to the children, 432 children were killed and maimed, 180 were abducted, and 43 girls were sexually abused in the region in 2018. UNICEF noted further that more than 100 of the schoolgirls abducted Chibok community of Borno State were still missing.
