Mourinho takes swipe at Fernandes for Manchester United penalty record

The Tottenham boss has aimed a subtle dig at a fellow Portuguese and the Red Devils after seeing another key decision go their way at the weekend Jose Mourinho has taken a light-hearted swipe at Bruno Fernandes for his  Manchester United  penalty record, joking that the midfielder "had about 20 to score" in the second half of the season. United set a new Premier League record for the most penalties won in a single campaign  when Anthony Martial was brought down in the box during a crunch clash with Leicester on Sunday. Fernandes, a €55 million (£50m/$65m) January signing, stepped up to convert the Red Devils' 14th spot-kick of 2019-20, which set them on their way to a 2-0 victory at the King Power Stadium. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men secured third place and  Champions League  qualification as a result, while extending their unbeaten run in the top flight to 14 matches. Two confirmed dead and many properties razed as gas explosion rocks Ajao estate in Lagos.

Two persons have been confirmed dead in a gas explosion that rocked Afariogun Street in the Ajao area of Lagos State yesterday evening Tuesday, July 28. The explosion started from a shop used in refilling gas cylinders. Nine shops were razed in the explosion and a number of cars were also burnt. According to reports, the accident happened after a 62-year-old woman, who runs a cooking gas shop and her 32-year-old daughter were called back to their shop to attend to a “regular customer” who came to fill a gas cylinder. The woman returned and successfully attended to the customer. However, the sad incident happened when the customer tried putting the gas cylinder into a waiting tricycle, it fell and exploded. The Director-General, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, who confirmed the incident, said the fire had been extinguished and that the bodies of the deceased persons have been evacuated from the scene of the incident.
