(FILES) In this file photo taken on May 24, 2015 Chelsea supporters wave flags before the English Premier League football match between Chelsea and Sunderland at Stamford Bridge in London on May 24, 2015. Ben STANSALL / AFP Premier League club Chelsea have been banned from signing new players in the next two transfer windows as punishment for breaking rules on registering under-age players, FIFA said on Friday. It means the club — who immediately said they would appeal the decision — will be unable to make signings until the end of January next year. “The disciplinary committee sanctioned Chelsea with a ban on registering new players at both national and international level for the next two complete and consecutive registration periods,” FIFA said in a statement. In addition, Chelsea were fined 600,000 Swiss francs ($600,000, 530,000 euros) and given a period of 90 days to regularise the situation of the minor players concerned. FIFA bans Chelsea for two transfer windows

FIFA has banned Chelsea for two transfer windows, for breaching the rules around the transfer of minors, SportsMail reports. The Premier League club is guilty of breaching article 19 of FIFA’s regulations, with regards to the transfer of 29 minor players and article 18 regarding two further minors. They have now been banned from registering new players for the next two transfer windows, the coming summer window and next January. Chelsea is likely to appeal to FIFA and the Court of Arbitration for Sport. That means they will almost certainly be able to get the ban pushed back until after the summer window, in order to do any key business. Chelsea has also been fined 600,000 Swiss Francs (£460,314). The FA have been found to have breached the rules in connection with minors too and have been fined 510,000 Swiss Francs (£391,260). In countries were that have witnessed a proliferation of EVs, petrol stations are very common, almost on nearly every corner, charging stations are scarce. That is especially true in some suburban and rural areas where the nearest charging station could be several towns away. Bloomberg recently looked at this issue and noted there are approximately five million electric vehicles on the road, but they’re only supported by approximately 632,000 public chargers.  Unsurprisingly, many of these chargers are concentrated in markets where electric vehicles are popular so any

According to him, politicians in the name of godfathers have silenced the masses through wholesale rigging, thieving and murdering while the people are compensated with acute lack and despondency. In a statement made available to The Guardian recently, Sowore explained that by financing the elections of major candidates and determining who emerged through corrupt party primary processes, Nigeria’s godfathers have ensured ready and steady access to the nation’s coffers, pausing only to throw bones to the next candidate who promises to provide access to yet another cache of the national cake. Atletico's Dominant Home Streak Continues With Win Over Juventus

Diego Simeone's side earned a 2-0 win over Cristiano Ronaldo's Juventus on Wednesday, handing the Spanish side a massive advantage heading into the return leg in Italy. With the win, Atletico Madrid are now unbeaten in the team's last 12 Champions League knockout round home matches. During that run, they've won eight and drawn five, having only conceded one goal in those 13 games. The lone goal came back in 2017 when Isco scored for Real Madrid as Atletico won 2-1 on the day but lost 4-2 on aggregate. After seeing a goal from Alvaro Morata controversially ruled out, Atletico Madrid responded with goals from the team's two centre-backs to seal the advantage. Saving the Nigerian Girl Child

Image
By Deborah Phillips Living in a very safe environment where there is no fear, our lives and properties are secured is the wish of every individual. According to late Nelson Mandela, “safety and security don’t just happen; they are the result of collective consensus and public investment. We owe our children, the most vulnerable citizens in our society, a life free of violence and fear”. That should be the utmost priority of every leader and government. In Nigeria, the girl child lives in fear of the unknown as she is faced with many challenges which includes: child trafficking, rape, gender discrimination, illiteracy, early marriage, prostitution, unwanted pregnancies, abduction, domestic violence and so many others. The case of Chinwe, a 15-year-old single mum from Ozubulu in Anambra state who was given out in marriage to Izuchukwu Igwilo a mentally unstable man, was a clear state of the Nigerian girl child. She was to become a sex slave to the groom’s brothers and bare basta

2019 Election: The Problem With Nigeria And Way Forward, By Agboola Sanni

Image
Eedris Abdul Kareem Once said (NIGERIA JAGA JAGA) Is this True? Because according to Mr. Agboola Sanni said The major problem that had been facing the country since 1999 is that we have not really experienced the benefit of democracy. What we have been witnessing since 1999 is a civilian government rather than a democratic government. In the actual sense, a civilian government can best be described as a synthesis between the thesis and antithesis of a military and democratic government. In this context, a civilian government can be best described as a little of democracy and a little of military. However, in our own context, it is a little of democracy as against a big of military. This can best be explained by the 1999 Constitution, which in the real sense is a replica of an over centralized government, typical of the military version. One would have expected a true democracy to be a full return to true federalism as it was before the military intervention in 1966. A so c
