The Nigerian Navy has destroyed some illegal refineries tucked in the hard to reach areas of the Niger-Delta creeks. In the latest operations, the navy destroyed some illegal refineries located in Warri and Port Harcourt the commercial nerve centres of Delta and Rivers states. Some of the areas combed by the navy include the Benette Island and Yeye creeks in Warri as well as Bakana creek in Port Harcourt. Over 80 drums of 250 litres of products and 13 suspects were arrested during the Portharcourt Operation. Trending Photo Of Lagos Deputy Police Commissioner Looking Awkward

Image
A police boss has turned an object of mockery after he was seen wearing a uniform with a broken zip and missing button.     The Lagos Deputy Police Commissioner in question   A Lagos Deputy Police Commissioner is in the news for the wrong reasons. This has nothing to do with brutality or bribery and corruption but the way the man dressed.   Most security operatives in his position wear the best of uniforms and look smarter but the opposite seems to be the case here.   His uniform appears to have seen better days. A major button was missing and as for the pair of trouser, the zip was bad. The matured man donned the outfit with confidence and made a public appearance with the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-olu.   The man has become an object of humour on social media.

Manchester City join Manchester United in chase for Napoli ace Kalidou Koulibaly as they 'make £85m bid'

Image
Manchester City are ready to take on rivals Manchester United for Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly as the Premier League champions make an £85million bid for him. According to Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Senegal international is seen as a replacement for Vincent Kompany at City and boss Pep Guardiola is keen on him. Koulibaly is considered one of the finest defenders in world football and with four years left on his current deal in Naples, it would take a world-record fee to acquire him this summer. Napoli have no desire to cash in on the 27-year-old and club president Aurelio De Laurentiis has stated in the past that it would take a remarkable offer for him to consider selling. But the Neopolitan side are reportedly set to make a number of additions this summer and may opt to cash in on Koulibaly with his stock as high as it is right now. Carlo Ancelotti's side are said to be in talks with Roma defender Kostas Manolas - viewed in some quarters as a

Frank Lampard To Sign Three-years Contract With Chelsea This Week

Image
Frank Lampard is set to finalise a deal to become Chelsea manager by the end of the week as they look to announce Maurizio Sarri's successor. Sarri was allowed to return to Italy after Juventus agreed to pay £7million in compensation. And according to the Evening Standard, Lampard, who is Chelsea's first choice for the role, is set to conclude a return to Stamford Bridge this week where he will sign a three-year contract.  Derby are reluctant to let go of a manager that guided them to a Championship play-off final in his first year in charge, and would want £4m compensation if he is to be taken away. Chelsea are keen to bring in Lampard, knowing that he is a hugely popular choice with a fanbase who were frustrated last season by Sarri's management despite winning the Europa League and finishing in the top four of the Premier League. Petr Cech is also set to take up a role as technical director to partially fill the void left by Michael Emenalo, who left to jo

Jamal Khashoggi, then general manager of a new Arabic news channel speaks during a press conference, in Manama, Bahrain. Khashoggi was a Saudi insider. Neymar Has Nowhere Else To Go

Image
Paris Saint-Germain are thought to have accepted that they must sell Neymar this summer, with the winger pushing for a return "home" to Camp Nou, although Real Madrid are also eager to finalise a deal. Neymar is thought to have requested a move back to Barcelona this summer, but long-term admirers Real could also be keen on the Brazilian if they can find a way to raise funds. Since the state of Qatar purchased Paris Saint-Germain in 2011, they have spent over €1 billion on players. Nearly 19 percent of that eye-watering transfer budget went toward one person: Neymar. In August 2017, his Barcelona buyout clause was met to the tune of €222 million, in a deal that would see the Brazilian receive an astonishing €700,000 per week over five years. The former Santos youth prodigy might have been motivated by the large sums of money involved. Or perhaps he was enticed by becoming the star player on a side with limitless potential: No longer would he merely be a prong on th
