Busola Dakolo files complaint as another COZA ex-worker accuses Fatoyinbo of rape

Celebrity photographer, Busola Dakolo, who accused the founder of Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA), Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo, of rape has finally filed a formal complaint to the police. It was gathered that with her official complaint, the police is commencing an investigation into the allegation. This is coming on the heels of another lady, who yesterday accused the embattled pastor of also raping her. The lady, who spoke on the condition of anonymity in an interview with Y!Naija said the incident happened in 2017 at the pastor’s house. According to her, she was an employee of COZA, who worked directly with the pastor and a member of the church. She said Fatoyinbo asked her to visit his house on a Thursday morning to receive some instructions and run an errand. She stated: “He was my boss. I worked with him. Sometimes, I had to run errands for them. So it was not the first time that I was going to be at their house. I was there sitting on the couch with him and he starte

A 64-year-old estate agent and politician, Aderemi Fatukasi, has asked an Agege Customary Court in Lagos to dissolve his loveless marriage with his wife, Esther, alleging her talkative nature and threat to life. The petitioner, a father of one, resides at Coker Road, in Orile-Agege area of Lagos. He is seeking the dissolution of the nine-year-old marriage, on grounds of alleged talkative and troublesome nature of his wife, adultery and other irreconcilable differences. Aderemi told the court that he finally moved out of his house due to all the embarrassment his wife was causing him. The petitioner, who described his wife as being temperamental and violent, told the court that on a few occasions, he had lived out of their matrimonial home due to her incessant talks and gossips. Over 172m W/Africans in darkness – ECOWAS The ECOWAS Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (ECREEE) said on Saturday that more than 172 million West Africans lacked electricity. Executive Director of the centre, Mr Mahamah Kappiah said this in his presentation during an oversight visit by members of the ECOWAS Parliament to the center in Praia, Cape Verde. He said that the figure represented 58 per cent of the 330 million people, who lacked electricity in the region. “Statistics released by the center shows that Sierra Leone has the least access rate to electricity in the ECOWAS region with less than 30 percent of its urban community,” he said. He explained that only two per cent of the rural population in Sierra Leone had access to electricity. “Cape Verde on the other hand, has the highest rate of access to electricity with more than 90 percent access rate in its urban community and 65 percent in the rural areas,” he added. PDP, others react to Gov. Oyetola’s Supreme Court victory

Adegboyega Oyetola, Governor of Osun State The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun says it has accepted the Supreme Court judgment that affirmed Gov. Gboyega Oyetola as the winner of the September 2018 governorship election in the state. Mr Soji Adagunodo, the State PDP Chairman,  in a telephone interview with News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Osogbo said since Supreme court was the apex court in the land, there was no where the party could appeal again. NAN reports that the Supreme Court in a split judgment of five to two on Friday upheld the election of Oyetola.                                   There was wild jubilation at Supreme Court on Friday following the judgement which affirmed the victory of Osun Governor-elect Gboyega Oyetola at the September 2018 election held in the state. The Supreme Court affirmed Oyetola’s victory by a majority judgment of five to two members of the Supreme Court panel. The Supreme Court dismissed the appeal filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its governorship candidate, Ademola Adeleke, challenging the election of Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress.
