RB Leipzig table increased £22.5million offer to Everton for Ademola Lookman

                                   RB Leipzig have made an improved £22.5m offer for Ademola Lookman. Leipzig reignited their interest in Everton winger Lookman again this window and responded after seeing their opening bid rejected. Their first approach for the 21 year-old winger was worth £13m. But Leipzig have now returned with a significantly increased package of up to £23m for exciting forward Lookman, who starred while on loan with the Bundesliga side in 2017/18. The new bid is made up of an initial fee of £18m with a further £4.5m in add-ons. Everton are now considering the offer for Lookman who they signed in an £11m deal in January 2017. He marked a dream debut with a goal against Manchester City but failed to receive the first-team opportunities he had been promised at Goodison Park.

Radio Bayelsa back on air after fire incident

Radio Bayelsa `Glory FM 97.1’ in Yenagoa which went off-air following a fire incident that destroyed its studios and broadcast equipment on July 2, has resumed test transmission. The General Manager, Dr John Idumange, made this known in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Yenagoa on Monday. Idumange said that the fire was put out through a concerted effort of sympathisers and firemen. He attributed the fire incident to sabotage by some staff but the labour unions said the allegation was prejudice to ongoing investigations. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the Bayelsa Government-owned radio station returned to the airwaves on Saturday with uninterrupted music for several hours. Reacting to the development, Mr Daniel Iworiso-Markson, Bayelsa Commissioner for Information, said the feat was achieved through the relentless efforts of staff of the station. A 73-year-old man has gotten married to his lover who happens to be 63 years old in a community in Kaduna state.   The couple   These are photos from the wedding between two elderly lovers which took place in Zaria state recently. The photos have gotten Nigerians all emotional on social media.   According to Facebook user, Chinecherem Ebubechi, who shared their photos online, the groom is a 73-year-old Nigerian Evangelist, Matthew Owojaiye, while his bride is 63 year old Abosede Ayobola.   According to Chinecherem, this was the bride's first wedding. The couple met 50 years ago. The groom had asked her out at the time but she turned him down. Senator Elisha Abbo has been granted bail in the sum of N5million. The Senator representing Adamawa North Senatorial District was granted bail on Monday by Senior Magistrate Abdullahi Ilellah. This was after the lawmaker was arraigned by the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) police at Zuba Magistrate Court, Abuja. He was granted bail in the sum of N5million and the sureties must have verifiable addresses within the Federal Capital Territory. The case has since been adjourned to July 22nd for hearing. The Super Eagles duo of Kenneth Omeruo and Chidozie Awaziem, were selected by officials of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), after the game against Cameroon on Saturday for a random dope test, Vanguard reports. Both players did not return to their hotel in Alexandria with their team-mates. Omeruo and Awaziem were picked randomly, as is the usual practice after such matches.
