Sanwo-Olu’s acceptance speech

Mr Babajide Sanwo-olu, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State has emerged winner of the Saturday’s Governorship election in the state, beating Jimi Agbaje of the Peoples Democratic Party with 533,304 votes. In his acceptance speech Sanwo-olu said :’Today, you did not just vote for Babajide Sanwo-Olu. You voted for that greater Lagos. I promise that together we shall achieve this. I do not make promises lightly. INEC officially declares Seyi Makinde of PDP winner of Oyo governorship election

Seyi Makinde, the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has emerged winner of the Oyo State gubernatorial election. Makinde polled 515,621 votes, to defeat Adebayo Adelabu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who polled 357,982 votes. The results of all the 33 local government areas of the state were announced at the collation centre of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Ibadan, the state capital. Oluwatoyin Ogundipe, Returning Officer of the election, went on to declare Makinde as the winner after polling the highest votes.
