Veteran Rapper, Biglo Down With Kidney Failure, Seeks Financial Assistance

Biglo revealed how he has lost his job, car and even his house as a result of his predicament. Biglo Veteran Nigerian rapper, Lotanna Udezue, popularly known as ‘Biglo’, is down with a kidney ailment. The rapper is currently undergoing dialysis at a nursing home in California, U.S. and is trying to raise funds on a Gofundme account. Biglo shot into limelight in 2004 with the hit ‘Delicious’ which featured 2shotz. Although the track earned him a Hip Hop World Award for Best Rap Collabo, the chubby rapper, however, went underground after the buzz died down. His cousin, Zuby Udezue, who opened a GoFundMe account on his behalf said the ailment was diagnosed in July 2018. He also added that Biglo has been undergoing dialysis three times weekly since January. Mr. Udezue, who is a UK-based rapper, added that he has also undergone three surgeries and is trying to raise £50,000; about N23 million. As at press time, about £4,830 has been raised. Police rescue 13 kidnap victims in Imo forest

                    Force Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO),  DCP Frank Mba, says,  police have successfully rescued 13 kidnapped victims in Lili forest in Ohaji/Egbema council area of Imo. Mba said three of the alleged kidnap suspects were killed by police after eight hours gun battle with the police adding that four assault rifles were recovered from the suspects. The force PPRO, who disclosed this in Owerri on Monday,  also paraded 19  suspects allegedly  involved in various crimes ranging from kidnapping, armed robbery, murder and child-trafficking. He said two other suspects had been arrested on the issue of alleged kidnapping after a follow up investigation. Among the paraded suspects was Chukwuemeka Eze  who, Mba said, allegedly murdered a 27-year-old female, Lillian Ngbawa, who just concluded her NYSC programme in Mgbidi, Oru West council area. Akin Kuponiyi A Federal high court sitting in Lagos south west Nigeria has restrained a Lagos businessman, Adeniyi Adebulugbe Jaiyesimi who resides at 16 Wesley Close, Luxurious Friends Colony Estate, Lekki and Managing Director of Donex Technical Services Ltd from operating, withdrawing from or dealing with his funds in any bank or financial institution within Nigeria pending the hearing of the bankruptcy suit filed against him. The order of the court was sequel to a bankruptcy petition filed by Sterling Bank Plc against Mr Adeniyi Adebulugbe Jaiyesimi as a debtor pending before the Court. Mr jaiyesimi was alleged to have severally borrowed huge sums of money from Magnum Trust Bank now Sterling Bank Plc. since the beginning of 2003 and refused to repay the loan for many years. Nigeria Law School graduates 1,562 students

The Nigerian Law School on Tuesday says 1,550 students were successful after the April 2018 Bar final examinations while their success rate is put at 68.6 per cent. The school also called to the Bar 12 other graduates from the previous 2018 final examinations. The Director- General (DG) of the school, Isa Ciroma, a professor disclosed this at the July Call to Bar ceremony for the successful candidates in Abuja. A summary of the examinations showed that two, out of the 1, 550 made second class lower while others had pass mark. He said the performance was justified following the approval of the Council of Legal Education that re-sit students for the final Bar examinations must undertake two months revision exercise for eligibility to write the examination.
