Niger’s military leaders have warned the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) not to send troops to the Republic of Niger. The naira maintained its downward trend against the dollar as it traded for 876/$ at the parallel market on Sunday. President Bola Tinubu has approved the establishment of Infrastructure Support Fund (ISF) for the 36 States of the Federation as part of measures to cushion the effects of the petrol subsidy removal on the people. Oil marketers have warned Nigerians to prepare to buy petrol for as much as N700/litre in the coming days.
