Nigerian Army announces recruitment for trades/non tradesmen and women [How to apply) The Nigerian Army has announced recruitment into its service for 2018. It said on Wednesday that interested candidates can now apply for trades/non tradesmen and women categories. A statement posted on its official websites, said interested candidates should visit its website to apply. The statement read, ”This is to announce to the general public that the candidate registration web portal for 78RRI for trades/non tradesmen and women is now open for interested candidates. The former president suited up in Santa Claus attire and merrily sang Christmas carols with hundreds of doctors, nurses, hospital workers, parents and children during the much-anticipated visit. Obama was greeted by happy hospital staff and others as he arrived in a red hat and belted out lyrics to We Wish You A Merry Christmas. I am a former taxi driver – Gov Ayade Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River State has revealed that earlier in his life he was a hustler and a taxi driver. According to him, there was nothing to be ashamed of because he was doing an honourable and legal hustle. He said he had always told anyone that cared to listen that he had a very humble beginning, a reason he said had enabled him to understand his job as a governor of the people. He disclosed this on Wednesday at a public rally in Calabar where he was a guest of the Unified Commercial Drivers Association of Cross River State, which staged a political rally in support of his second term bid. 2019 Budget: Oshiomhole reacts as lawmakers ‘boo’ Buhari at National Assembly National Chairman, All Progressive Congress (APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, on Wednesday, described President Muhammadu Buhari’s presentation of the 2019 Budget as “a successful outing.” Oshiomhole gave the commendation in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) shortly after Buhari presented the budget at the National Assembly in Abuja. “I think it was done very well and analytically well presented. It covers all the issues. “It gives account of the previous budget, how it was implemented and why we will have to consolidate going forward. A US official made the disclosure on Wednesday, after President Donald Trump claimed America has “defeated ISIS” in the war-ravaged country. The stunning move will have extraordinary geopolitical ramifications — and plunges into uncertainty the fate of US-backed Kurdish fighters who have been tackling Islamic State jihadists, hundreds of whom remain in Syria. “We have defeated ISIS in Syria, my only reason for being there during the Trump Presidency,” the Republican leader tweeted. The presentation of the budget was presented under a rowdy session with opposition lawmakers repeatedly booing the President as he listed his achievements.
