Dino Melaye speaks from police custody over booing of Buhari The Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial District, Dino Melaye, has denied being part of the lawmakers that booed President Muhammadu Buhari, during the 2019 budget presentation before a joint session of the National Assembly on December 19, 2018. Melaye claims he was absent at the House of Representatives chamber, venue of the budget presentation on that day. Since the incident, there have been reports in the social media that the booing was led by the Kogi Senator. But Melaye, in his first reaction to the social media reports, said in a statement by his media aide, Gideon Ayodele, on Saturday evening that those that kept calling his name on the incident lied against him. ‎ “The attention of Senator Dino Melaye has been drawn to a malicious reference to his person on the social media as one of the lawmakers who booed President Muhammadu Buhari during his 2019 Budget presentation before a joint session

He shared a photo of one of the children supplied by a certain 'Doctor Bile Nuhu' from Gombe, adding that the children are mostly from neighbouring states.  Read his post below.. "Sometime last year I went to Gombe with Remi Adebayo and Joshua Matthew to track down Governor Dankwanbo for an interview. The one thing I noticed in Gombe was the influx of children shoe shiners like this one. I called several of them to ask them where they were from and they said they were from Katsina, Sokoto, Kebbi, some from as far as Niger Republic and many just knew their village names and don’t know the states they are from. NAF Helicopter Gunship Destroys Terrorist Gun Trucks In Damasak, Borno State The Air Task Force (ATF) of Operation LAFIYA DOLE has destroyed some Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) gun trucks in air strikes conducted near Damasak in Northern Borno State. According to a statement by the Nigeria Air Force, NAF, the attacks were executed yesterday, 5 January 2019, whilst providing close air support for ground troops at Damasak who were in pursuit of the terrorists who had attempted to breach their location. The NAF Mi-35M Helicopter Gunship engaged the group of terrorists’ gun trucks in successive waves of attacks as they retreated, destroying and immobilizing 3 of them while causing significant damage to others and neutralizing several terrorists. 2019: Amaechi under fire over ‘leaked audio’, told to resign as Buhari’s Campaign DG Mixed reactions have trailed the release of a full audio recording of the Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi, allegedly referring to President Muhammadu Buhari as an ignoramus, who neither takes advice nor reads to acquire information.
