Davido has reacted as a high court which sat in Abuja, nullified his uncle, Ademola Adeleke’s nomination as PDP’s Governorship candidate in the last Osun election. Recall that, Justice Musa of the Abuja High Court who delivered judgement on the case on Tuesday, nullified Adeleke’s nomination on the grounds that he offended section 177 of the 1999 constitution as amended. The section stipulated that candidates for the position of governor must be educated up to secondary school level. While the court’s findings showed that Adeleke entered secondary school in 1976, there was no record to show that he actually graduated as his name was no longer seen in the school’s register from 1980. The High Court Judge further stated that the result Adeleke attached to his form CF001 which he submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) was fake, as it was found to be different from the one presented to the court by the principal of Ede Muslim High School, Ede in Osun State

A 77-year-old female retiree was among the 1,008 students of the Faculty of Education, University of Lagos, who were awarded first degree on Tuesday at the institution’s 2017/2018 Convocation Ceremonies. The convocation was the university’s 50th. The retiree, who refused to mention her name to journalists, said that the achievement was her dream come true. “I studied guidance and counselling and I am most grateful to God Almighty who made me to see this day. “ I will not like my name to be mentioned because I know where I am coming from and what I am protecting. “I am a retired officer. I have worked in a lot of countries around the world and also in Nigeria, where I finally retired,’’ she told journalists. Portraitures of popular Nigerian music act Davido, Facebook creator Mark Zuckerberg and female Nigerian artist Nike Okundaye, topped the list of works on display at the ” O’Sagacity art exhibition underway at the National Museum, Lagos. Zuckerberg-Davido-Okundaye The artist/exhibitor, Sunday Olaniyi, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos that each of these people inspired his works, adding that he appreciated them for their contributions to the entertainment industry. Alhaji Remi Lukman, the foster Father of football fan, Kolade Johnson, who was killed by SARS officers in Lagos on Sunday March 31st, says contrary to media reports, his son was not killed by police stray bullets but was deliberately shot and killed by trigger-happy cops.
