  The All Progressives Congress on Saturday said there were links between major opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party and the US indicted fraudster, Ramon Olorunwa Abbas, also known as ‘Hushpuppi’ and added that those links should be investigated. In a statement signed by the APC’s Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Yekini Nabena, the APC alleged that there have been reports of “criminal conspiracy linking” top members of the PDP to the disgraced Instagram aficionado. The Nigeria Center for Disease Control, NCDC has revealed the age bracket of Nigerians majorly spreading COVID-19. The Director-General, Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), Dr. Chikwe Ihekweazu, during PTF COVID-19 briefing on Thursday in Abuja said that Nigerian youths between the ages of 20 and 40 are majorly responsible for the spread of the COVID-19. The NCDC boss warned youths to be careful, adding that older people from 50 years and above are the ones mostly dying from the disease. As of Thursday, Nigeria has a total of 27,110 confirmed cases of Coronavirus since the outbreak. A white woman and her husband have been charged with assault after she was seen pointing a gun at a Black mother and her teenage daughter in a now-viral video. Michigan authorities discussed the altercation during a press conference on Thursday, where they explained that the conflict started after an alleged bumping incident at a Chipotle restaurant in Orion Township. "Two very different stories from two different groups. Both sides claiming they feel extremely threatened," Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard said. The catalyst and [the] moments before the incident intensified in the parking lot was not captured on the video posted on  Facebook . The video, posted by Takela Hill on Wednesday, shows an interaction during which Hill claims Jillian Wuestenberg, 32, had just bumped into her 15-year-old daughter. In the aftermath of  George Floyd's death  while in Minnaeapolis police custody, the Hennepin County Board of Commissioners passed a resolution declaring racism a public  health  crisis. Hennepin County Commissioner Angela Conley, the first Black commissioner in the county's history, stewarded the effort. "I know how racism is perpetuated through our systems, I know how racist policies and practices show up on the ground -- show up in [the] community -- and we can't sit by and not say structural racism is the problem," said Conley in an interview with ABC News. The resolution passed in a 7-1 vote. The sole "no" vote came from Commissioner Jeff Johnson, who said he felt  declaring racism a public health crisis  would send a message that racism is the biggest problem the county faces, which he does not believe it is. Photo: Twitter@NCDC.   Nigeria’s COVID-19 cases on Thursday crossed the 27, 000 mark as the country reported 626 new infections.  This is according to a tweet on the official handle of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC). Giving a breakdown of the new cases, the agency said they were recorded in 20 states in the West African country, bringing the total infections to 27,110. Lagos State had the highest number of fresh infections for the day – 193 – and is followed by the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) with 85 cases of the virus with Oyo State having 41 persons infected. Other states which had new infections are: Edo –  38,  Kwara – 34,  Abia – 31,  Ogun – 29, Ondo – 28, Rivers –  26, and Osun – 21. Governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa, and his wife have tested positive for COVID-19. The governor announced this on his Twitter handle today, saying he and his wife are well and remain in isolation. This development comes on the heels of tests conducted on the governor’s family after a few days of self-isolation. The governor and his family went into isolation on Friday after one of their daughters tested positive for the virus. The two heads of the First Family in the state, according to a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Olisa Ifeajika, are stable and have commenced necessary treatment, and further isolation. The governor thanked Deltans for their prayers for his family and called for continued supplications for all patients undergoing treatment for the pandemic. The Federal Government has increased the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit, also known as petrol from N140.80 to N143.80 per litre. The Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency (PPPRA) announced the increment in a statement issued by its Executive Secretary, Abdulkadir Saidu on Wednesday. “After a review of the prevailing market fundamentals in the month of June and considering marketers’ realistic operating costs, as much as practicable, we wish to advise a new PMS pump price band of N140.80 – N143.80 per litre for the month of July 2020,” the statement read. “All marketers are advised to operate within the indicative prices as advised by the PPPRA.” In April, the Federal Government had announced a reduction of the petrol pump to N123.50 per litre.  Channels
