ELECTIONS: Do you think postponement’ll guarantee free, fair exercise?

APC government has failed Nigerians. I don’t think there will be election on February 23 2019 again. Everybody is calling on the INEC chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu to step down. He knows that all that is playing out is a game by the ruling party and he is just trying to keep quiet.

Yes, I believe there will be free and fair election. No matter what anybody does, I believe the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, is capable of conducting a credible election this year. Nigerians should be rest assured that election will hold and it will be free and fair.
Mr. Jimoh Saheed Businessman

When the goal post is changed at the last minute, the credibility of the process is irrevocably compromised. The Independent National Electoral Commission ,INEC, postponed the election in a way that discredits their claim of impartiality. I doubt if the election would have been postponed if it was going to favour the ruling party. Mr. Fasipe Oluyemi,

I assume the elections will be free and fair because if INEC does not encounter any challenge. It was difficult to postpone an election Nigeria spent so much resources on. Without cogent reasons, the election would not have been postponed. Without challenges the polls would be free and fair.
Mr Omobola Adenuga, Engineer

With the current situation, the election will not be free and fair. W-In a free and fair contest, Atiku will win but with the help of the armed forces and INEC, the election will be rigged in favour of the APC and the UK and PDP supporters will not accept the result which might lead to the election being declared inconclusive.

According to INEC, a last minute review of its logistics and operational plans necessitated the election postponment. Obviously, INEC is not telling Nigerians the whole truth about the postponement.
And that, itself raises a big question on the prospects of a free and fair exercise next week.
