Cameroon 2-0 Guinea-Bissau: Cameroon bags 3 point

But in the end Yaya Banana got Cameroon on their way before the match was sealed at 2-0

Cameroon started their 2019 Africa Cup of Nations campaign off with a win, Cameroon leading the group with 3 point.

Guinea-Bissau did well initially to frustrate Seedorf's side as they looked to sit deep in a bid to catch Cameroon cold on the counter.

But just after the hour mark the game turned.

Banana opened the scoring as he headed low into the net from Karl Toko Ekambi's pin-point cross.

Bahoken, on as a substitute following the opening goal, got the second two minutes after coming on as he was quickest to react to a defensive mix-up.

Cameroon are expected to make a strong run in the tournament as they look to defend the crown they won in 2017.

Cameroon started their 2019 Africa Cup of Nations campaign as they mean to go on with a routine win over unfancied Guinea-Bissau.

Clarence Seedorf's players took a while to warm up but found the net twice in three minutes midway through the second half to wrap up an opening group victory.

Goals from brilliantly-named centre back Yaya Banana and substitute Stephane Bahoken were the difference.
