Manchester United 'TURN DOWN offer from PSG to swap Neymar for Pogba

Manchester United reportedly turned down an offer from Paris Saint-Germain to swap Paul Pogba for Neymar.

The Brazilian seems to have his heart set on a return to Barcelona, though, with Spanish media claiming he is willing to make a public apology to Barca supporters in a bid to secure his return to the Nou Camp this summer.

The Brazilian forward is hoping to leave Paris Saint-Germain in this transfer window, just two years after he swapped Barcelona for the French capital in a world-record £198million move.

The transfer left a bitter taste in the mouth of some Barca supporters and now Neymar is ready to rebuild bridges by apologising for his departure, according to Spanish paper Sport.

But according to The Independent, PSG approached United about a direct swap deal for the players. United turned the proposal down, though, believing Neymar would cost too much.

United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward, who brought Pogba back to the club in 2016, has long sought another marquee name as they try to keep pace with Manchester City and Co.

But it's claimed he turned down the swap deal with Neymar because of concerns over his £900,000-a-week wages, and because United are so keen to keep Pogba.

The League of Patriotic Lawyers has given Edo State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Olusegun Odumosu, 24 hours to unravel those behind the torture and insertion of pepper into a girl’s private part in Benin City over alleged stealing of a mobile phone.  Chairman of the platform and former Student Union President of the University of Benin, Mr. Abubakar Yesufu, who said this in a statement yesterday, also urged the state Director, Department of State Services, DSS, to be involved in the investigation.
