Uganda 1-1 Zimbabwe: Both teams missing outrageous open goals
Uganda and Zimbabwe played out a 1-1 draw at the Africa Cup of Nations, but both teams will walk away very disappointed not to take all three points.
The stalemate leaves Uganda on four points from their opening two games, while Zimbabwe have it all to do heading into the final group game with just one point.
Uganda got off to the perfect start on Wednesday through Okwi, who tapped home from close range after Zimbabwe goalkeeper George Chigova parried Lumala Abdu's shot.
But they were pegged back through Zimbabwe midfielder Billiat following fine work down the left wing from team-mate Ovidy Karuru.
However, the state of play could have been very different if both teams had their goalscoring boots on in Cairo.
With the scoreline at 1-1 in the 50th minute, Zimbabwe's Musona missed an absolute sitter to put his side ahead, smashing the ball straight onto the crossbar while unmarked from a few yards out.
If you thought that was crazy enough, there was almost a carbon-copy up the other end for Uganda.
In the 75th minute on Wednesday, Uganda thought they had found the winner but Kaddu had other ideas.
The 23-year-old forward, while completely unmarked after the goalkeeper parried a shot straight to him, struck a volley from a couple of yards over the crossbar
