Alex Iwobi has tipped Manchester City to defend their Premier League crown next year

The Nigeria international says City's success will continue into the 2019-20 season, with pre-season just around the corner.

He told Sky Sports they will start as favourites: 'Everyone thought that last season, but Liverpool give them a tough challenge as well.

'So, you never know what could happen. I'm sure every club's going to invest and try and get their team right.

'Pre-season's coming up really soon, so everyone's trying to get ready for the season to start.

'It's hard to say right now whether Man City are going to dominate, but they could be favourites, considering they won it again.'

Manchester City are favourites for next season's Premier League, believes Alex Iwobi.

The Arsenal forward has backed Pep Guardiola's side to defend their crown and lift a historic third successive title.

City completed the domestic treble last month, pipping Liverpool by a single point to add the league to their League and FA Cup triumphs.

The League of Patriotic Lawyers has given Edo State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Olusegun Odumosu, 24 hours to unravel those behind the torture and insertion of pepper into a girl’s private part in Benin City over alleged stealing of a mobile phone.  Chairman of the platform and former Student Union President of the University of Benin, Mr. Abubakar Yesufu, who said this in a statement yesterday, also urged the state Director, Department of State Services, DSS, to be involved in the investigation. A video of the incident, seen by Vanguard yesterday, showed the girl being stripped naked by a group of people, who inserted pepper into her private parts for allegedly stealing a phone. The unidentified girl was heard crying and saying she didn’t steal any phone, while she was being humiliated by the crowd.
