Juventus are still keen to sell Gonzalo Higuain despite his performance in Tottenham defeat
Higuain, who spent last season on loan at AC Milan and then Chelsea, has been informed by club officials that his future lies elsewhere.
Roma are currently favourites to land the Argentine, having reportedly agreed a £5.4million fee with Juventus to take him loan for the entirety of next season.
The Serie A side appear set to sell Edin Dzeko to Inter Milan this week in a £13.5m deal and have identified Higuain as an ideal replacement.
Higuain is however yet to give his consent on the move despite Roma being the only club to express concrete interest in him.
Juventus still intend to offload Gonzalo Higuain this summer despite his eye-catching display in their International Champions Cup defeat by Tottenham.
The 31-year-old, who wore the captain's armband after coming off the bench in the second half, scored in the 3-2 loss and impressed fans with his overall performance.
However, Gazzetta dello Sport claim he is still not part of Juventus' plans this season and will likely depart before the window closes next month.
