From 1999-2015, it was agreed that there were setbacks of all sorts in the nations electoral system. The 2015 election was adjudged to be the fairest because of the magnanimous act of the then president GEJ. Today, another election has come to past. Buhari supporters, youths shut down businesses activities in Kaduna as they celebrate president’s victory

Following the declaration of President Muhammadu Buhari as the winner of the just concluded presidential electionon, some supporters and youth took to the streets of Kaduna, celebrating his victory. Most of them who came in large number from different directions headed to Murtala Square to show their solidarity. Most of them interviewed by DAILY POST said they did not know what they were celebrating, while some said, “I was told to follow my friends to Murtala Square. The Italian woman and her Nigerian boyfriend A young Italian woman has criticized the Deputy Prime Minister of Italy, Matteo Salvini, over her Nigerian lover. The 25-year-old lady identified as Martina Mondini, from Stradella (Pavia), an educator who works in the reception center of the municipality, stormed the Facebook page of the deputy prime minister to ‘insult’ him. This happened after Matteo Salvini, a guest on TV show by Massimo Giletti, was explaining his idea of integration and his political line aimed at respecting the interests of Italians and foreigners. 2019 election: ''Wisdom calls for Atiku to congratulate President Buhari'' Rochas Okorocha

Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, has asked the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the just concluded election, Atiku Abubakar, to show the spirit of sportsmanship and call President Buhari to concede defeat. Okorocha in an interview with newsmen in Owerri, the state capital this morning, said wisdom calls for Atiku to congratulate President Buhari on his re-election victory. “Wisdom calls for the PDP candidate to congratulate him (Buhari), to show appreciation because when you don’t do that, people will begin to think that you are doing this for selfish reasons. Femi Ojudu, Special Adviser to President Muhammad Buhari, has claimed that he knows the reasons his principal was defeated in Vice President Yemi Osinbajo’s ward at the presidential election. Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar, defeated Buhari of the All Progressives Congress, PDP, at Polling Unit 003 at VGC in Lagos. Atiku polled 384 votes to Buhari’s 197. In an article titled, The battle Osinbajo couldn’t win, Ojudu blamed looters and importers for the defeat.
