A trailer has claimed many lives after it fell off a bridge along the ever busy Abuja-Kaduna expressway. Many people have lost their lives after a trailer fell off a bridge along Abuja-Kaduna highway. The tragic incident happened on Friday. According to reports, the trailer driver lost control of the vehicle which was loaded with humans and animals as it veered off a bridge in Azara-Jere, Kagarko local government area of Kaduna state. It was gathered that over four persons were killed on the spot along with some cattle as other injured victims were rushed to the hospital in critical conditions. See more photos below:

UTME 2019: Why we won’t release results now – JAMB

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has continued to explain why it is yet to release the result of the 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME. The unsual delay has created room for anxiety and suspicion among some Nigerians. Dr. Fabian Benjamin, JAMB spokesman, told The Sun on Saturday, that they appreciate the anxiety and concerns of candidates. He, however, requested that JAMB be allowed to do the necessary things before releasing the result. He said that though results were released pretty much earlier in 2017 and 2018, it was necessary for the board to improve on its credibility this time around. According to him, many candidates had in the past, escaped with illegitimate acts they perpetrated during the UTME exercise, but that won’t be allowed to continue. Arsenal manager, Unai Emery has confirmed that striker, Danny Welbeck will leave Emirates at the end of the season. Emery said this after Arsenal’s 1-1 draw against Brighton in the Premier League on Sunday. Welbeck broke his ankle during Arsenal’s Europa League 0-0 draw against Sporting last year. The England international landed awkwardly after leaping in the air to meet a cross just after the half hour mark against Sporting, and needed oxygen before being stretchered off the pitch. Comrade Benson Efeotor got a car reward for returning ₦53million the government mistakenly paid into his account. Comrade Benson Efeotor is a civil servant working with the Delta State Ministry of Finance (Project E-Delta). He returned the sum of ₦53,121,650, recently erroneously paid into his account by the Delta state government. Speaking in an interview with newsmen, Efeotor said, “I returned the money because I don’t have such money in my bank account.” He added that anyone who will say he was wrong for returning the money to the government is a “thief.” However, on May Day, he was rewarded with a brand new car; courtesy of the Delta State government.
