Eden Hazard rejected huge Premier League offers to join Real Madrid
The Spain defender told The Sun: 'Honestly, the times that he had to cope with the rumours.
'He always showed his desire not to sign for an English team, even if he could have better contracts.
'He has never been a selfish person.
'He always had this dream to play for Real Madrid and we will see what happens.
'But I think he has been very honest until the last day.'
Hazard spent seven years at Chelsea having moved to Stamford Bridge in 2012 from Lille for £32million.
He called time on his Blues career with a year left on his contract to pursue his dream of working with Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane.
Eden Hazard turned down better offers from Premier League clubs to join Real Madrid, according to his former Chelsea team-mate Cesar Azpilicueta.
The Belgium international completed his move to Los Blancos earlier this month in a deal that could rise to £150million.
Now Azpilicueta has revealed Hazard had been sent more lucrative deals from English teams but turned them down out of respect for the Blues.
