Chelsea released new home kits at back end of 2018-19 season
CHELSEA
Home kit
Swing and a miss. There is a fine line to be trodden on when trying to design a kit with a crazy pattern in the shading.
An example of how to do it right comes with Mexico's 1998 World Cup kit, and even they had the advantage of the fashion crime amnesty being in force for much of the 1990s.
The Blues though have no such defence and even Eden Hazard looks like he is thinking he would rather be elsewhere while wearing it judging by the club's promotional pictures.
HOME KIT VERDICT: 4/10
The new kit features crazy pattern within the stitching in the latest offering from Nike
Hazard, pictured in the 2019-20 kit, has since signed for Real Madrid since the strip's launch
Away kit
Nothing unusual at first glance at the Chelsea away strip - much of it is quite standard for the west London side, with a white kit being complimented by red and blue trim.
But look at that collar. Been a while since we saw a proper one of those on a Chelsea strip - complete with smart buttons too.
It looks like a polo top, and takes its influence from the Mod scene of the 1960s. Either way it is a throwback we can get behind.
AWAY KIT VERDICT: 8/10
