Harvey Elliott, 16, will join Liverpool this summer after rejecting Fulham offer

Elliott is able to walk away from Fulham after turning down a scholarship at the Championship club.

Liverpool will have to fork out a large compensation fee for the Fulham youngster but they will in turn land one of the hottest prospects in European football.

The Reds will have to sign Elliott on a scholarship deal before offering him his first competitive contract when he turns 17 next April.

Elliott is the latest wonderkid to emerge from Fulham's academy following in the footsteps of Patrick Roberts, now on loan at Norwich from Manchester City, and Tottenham target Ryan Sessegnon.

He is expected to become Liverpool's second summer signing after the Champions League holders signed 17-year-old Sepp van den Berg from PEC Zwolle for £1.7million.

Liverpool are closing in on a deal to sign Fulham teenager Harvey Elliott this summer after the 16-year-old rejected the chance to stay at the Championship outfit.

Elliott, who became the youngest player to feature in the Premier League at 16 years and 30 days in May, was attracting interest from the likes of Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and RB Leipzig.
